New in March 2017.
A
shared note is a note assigned to an item with
repetitions (items with identical
source texts).
When a note is entered for an item with repetitions (usually in the Translation Edit bar which has two different Note fields, one for the source text and one for the translation text), the note will also be shown for any repetitions. This has the advantage of only having to write a note one time and simultaneously applying the information to all other affected texts (identical items).
This mechanism works for the note of a source text as well as for the note of a target text.
