Menu Commands

The menu commands found in the TM Workbench window are listed and described below.

TM Menu

•	TM Menu \| Open... Command
	Opens a dialog box to select a translation memory (TM) file (.sdltm). The selected TM will be opened for use by the TM Workbench.

•	TM Menu \| Open from Workbench TMs Folder...
	Opens a dialog box to select one of the translation memory files (.sdltm) supplied with the add-on and located in the "TMs" installation folder. The selected TM will be opened for use by the TM Workbench.
•	TM Menu \| New... Command
	Opens the New Translation Memory dialog box to create

a new translation memory file. The new TM will be opened

for use by the TM Workbench.

TM Menu | Properties... Command

Opens the TM Properties dialog box.

•	TM Menu \| Import/Export \| Export TMX File... Commands
	Exports all the TM data (translations units (= source + translation text)) to a TMX file.
•	TM Menu \| Import/Export \| Import TMX File... Commands
	Imports TM data (translations units (= source + translation text)) from a TMX file.
•	File \| Import Terminology Data (TBX File)... Commands
	Imports a TBX file with bilingual terminology data (source + translation text). See also: "Microsoft Terminology Collection."

Edit Menu

•	Edit Menu \| Add \| RC-WinTrans Item to TM Commands
	Adds the new translation unit (texts from the TM Workbench's Source and Translation text fields) to the active TM.

•	Edit Menu \| Add \| TM Item to TM Commands
	Adds the translation unit (texts from RC-WinTrans' Source and Target edit fields) to the active TM. If the translation unit already exists in the TM it will be updated.

•	Edit Menu \| Delete TM Item Command
	Removes the currently shown translation unit from the TM.

Find, Copy, and Save Commands

•

Find Translation Menu Command

Starts a search in the active TM to find a matching translation for the selected source text (in the TM Workbench's Source field).

•

Copy Translation to RC-WinTrans Menu Command

Copies the TM's translation text (Translation text field) to the Target edit field (Translation Edit bar) in RC-WinTrans. Note that the text is not saved as the

translation for the item selected in RC-WinTrans- to save it you must confirm it (OK button)

in the Translation Edit bar.

Save Translation to RC-WinTrans Menu Command

Copies the TM's translation text (Translation edit field) to the Target edit field (Translation Edit bar) in RC-WinTrans and saves it as the currently selected item's target text.

Options Menu

•

Options Menu | Accept RC-WinTrans Selection Command

Enables/Disables the function that automatically updates the TM Workbench with the currently selected (source and target) texts and searches the active TM for a matching translation.

•

Options Menu | Show Output Views Command

Shows/Hides the output tab views on the right side of the TM Workbench window (Found, Messages, and Maintenance).

Options Menu | Settings... Command

Opens the Settings dialog box.

Maintenance Menu

•	Maintenance Menu \| List All TUs Command
	Lists all translation units in the Maintenance list view.
•	Maintenance Menu \| New... Command
	Opens the New Translation Unit dialog box to enter and to add a new translation unit to the translation memory.
•	Maintenance Menu \| Edit... Command
	Opens the Edit Translation Unit dialog box to edit the source and/or the target text of a selected translation unit.
•	Maintenance \| Delete Command
	Deletes the selected translation units from the translation memory.
