Starting the Machine Translator

Installation

To install the Machine Translator, simply run the installation file you received or downloaded from Schaudin.com.  This will open the setup program to install the add-on to the RC-WinTrans installation folder by default:

<Install Dir>\RC-WinTrans\Machine Translator\

Once the installation is complete, the Machine Translator can be started and used with RC-WinTrans.  The Machine Translator can also be started separately (detached) from RC-WinTrans as a stand-alone application.

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 must be installed on your Windows system in order to install the Machine Translator.  If the required .NET Framework is not installed the installer shows an alert making note of this.

Starting the Machine Translator with RC-WinTrans

The Machine Translator window opens.

Ready.  Translations from the selected machine translation system (Google™ Translate, Microsoft® Translator, or DeepL Pro) will now be generated for any text selected in RC-WinTrans or entered manually by the user in the Machine Translator window. It is also possible to use the translations in various ways with commands found both in the Machine Translator window and in the main RC-WinTrans application.  Please refer to the "Using the Machine Translator" help topic for a detailed discussion of the functionality provided.
