Supported File Types

All primary file types supported by RC-WinTrans are listed below.  Support for additional formats may also be possible if a suitable file converter exists (contact Schaudin.com for information).

Primary file types supported by RC-WinTrans:

.NET files:  RESX, binary resource RESOURCES and assembly (EXE, DLL) files.

Supported .NET Framework Versions:  1.1, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5,  4.0 and 4.5.

Also supported:  .NET files from Borland Delphi.

.NET TXT resources in text file format: .TXT (format: name=value)

.NET WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) BAML resources and XAML files.

Win32: Windows resource script (RC) and binary program/library files

             (EXE, DLL and OCX) files.  See also:  "Win32 RC Files."

MFC Ribbon Bar resources (.mfcribbon-ms files).

ActiveX controls embedded in dialog box resources.

Multiple-language Win32 EXE/DLL files from single language Win32 EXE/DLL files.

Unix INI files and InstallShield SHL strings files (with support for multi-line text and comments).

Windows INI and Unix INI files.

Java properties files (PROPERTIES).

64-bit (x64) application files including Windows (EXE/DLL) and .NET Windows Forms (EXE/DLL).

XML files supported with XSLT transformation files (stylesheets).
