Configuration Dialog

Use the Configuration dialog box to enter your personal machine translation service API key. The dialog also has fields for setting the timespan to wait before the request to connect to the selected machine translation (MT) service times out.

Opening the Dialog

The Configuration dialog is called up by opening the menu in the Machine Translator window and selecting the Settings command.

API and Authentication Keys

If no API key is entered, then the API key supplied by Schaudin.com is used to access the MT service from Google and/or Microsoft.  Translations from DeepL can only be accessed with a personal DeepL Pro Authentication Key.

As a courtesy, use of the GoogleTranslate and Micosoft Translator MT services are initially paid for by Schaudin.com.  Users must eventually acquire their own personal API key and enter it in the Configuration dialog to correctly assign the associated charges.

Permanent availability for the complimentary Schaudin.com API keys is not guaranteed.  Each API key has a daily limit on use which is shared by all users.
