Text Fit Options Dialog Box

 

Use the Text Fit Options dialog box to set width and height tolerance values to be used for the text fit check function.

Width tolerance value Edit Field

With a width tolerance value of 0 (default value), RC-WinTrans acknowledges that a dialog box control's caption text fits the specified width of the control without any additional space.  A positive tolerance value (up to 10 DLUs) constitutes an additional space between the text and the control's absolute width.  A negative tolerance value accepts a hang-over of the text.

Height tolerance value Edit Field

With a height tolerance value of 0 (default value), RC-WinTrans acknowledges that a dialog box control's caption text fits the specified height of the control.  A positive tolerance value (up to 10 DLUs) constitutes an additional space between the text and the control's absolute height.  A negative tolerance value accepts a hang-over of the text.

Ignore item's height Checkbox

Check this option to ignore the height of a control when performing a text fit check.  The unit of the tolerance value depends on whether the item comes from a Win32 file or a .NET file:

.NET:

Values in the range -10 through +10 are allowed.

 

NOTE:  A dialog box control can be excluded from the text fit check by unchecking the Enable checking checkbox in the Text Fit Tab View (Dialog Box view).
