.NET  (Definition)

Refers to the Microsoft .NET platform.  Includes a comprehensive family of products- clients that power family of products- clients that power smart devices, services, servers, and tools- designed to support XML and incorporate Internet industry standards.

There are three versions of the .NET Framework: 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0. RC-WinTrans uses the .NET Framework 1.1 or 2.0, depending on which version is installed on the current machine.
