The Import from Excel dialog box is used to import translated text data from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet into the active RC-WinTrans translation project. The Excel spreadsheet from which data is to be imported must have already been exported from RC-WinTrans once before. The first row of an Excel spreadsheet containing data exported by RC-WinTrans is used for the column headers that identify the data of each column. An import from an Excel spreadsheet without these column headers is not possible with the MS Excel Import/Export Add-On. Imported translations are used as the translations for items with a matching source text and, optionally, with a matching ID (resource name), source file name, and/or resource type. Even when the Excel sheet contains more then one target language, only one target language can be imported at a time. |
